What year, what month, what day she was born?

During the Chinese Seventh Month, the gates of hell open and for 30 days, the dead walk among the living. There are rules to follow in the Seventh Month: Do not swim during the Seventh Month; do not turn back at night when someone calls out your name; do not talk to strangers on a deserted stretch of road.

A boring Sunday decided to watch this horrifying show with my grandma as she suggested. We watched it at grandma's 20 over years ago ex-work place @ Shaw House. As usual, grandma never fail to chat with the taxi uncle. That was grandma... BUT all her words do make sense. Always care about the well-being of others. Feel like she's had 100 years of experience in the society. She was trying to tour the building around after we bought our movie tix. All she mentioned was "last time this was not here..the shops was not so narrow...there was this thing here...really changed alot" As i was imaginating what will it be 20 years later @ Orchard. Flying cars??(the one thing we always said since sec school when teacher asked what will be the technology next decade.) But i enjoyed the ancient moment. Grandma said when she worked there, she always put me at the staircase till she finish work. Where's the staircase now? Poor Thing(lucky I was not stolen by other people!) Because mum never fail to NOT taking care of me.

Strolling to the cinema, WOW so big ah. The screen is wide enough. The crowd not bad. I began to tell grandma this kind of historical theater only for older adults. Youngster like us already visited every rooms of orchard cinemas. True?? Yes.

Talking back at The Maid, the storyline not bad. Only after ending the show, u will know the story. At least this ghost show made me understand, unlike most of the ghost show...just focus on scaring people but lame storyline! It started abt a maid,Rosa, came to S'pore to be a maid for a couple who is in the chinese opera on the 1st day on Hungry Ghost Festival. She urgently needs money to save her ill brother back home in the Philippines. Without knowing the rules of what not to do on this 30 days, she done it carelessly. She lives in a rundown house like going to falling into pieces anytime. The building had cracks all around, the doors & cupboards filled with screeching sounds. Her bosses were local stars Chen Shu Cheng(Mr Teo) & Hong Hui Fang(Mrs Teo). After offer burnings by the Teos that day, Rosa swept the burn ashes into a dustbin. It started... She can see all the dirty things everyday. She was brave enough...afraid too... Their ex-maid, Esther was all about it. The born of the ghost...It was Mr Teo who murdered her by burning her while she's trying to defend back when Teo's mental problem son rape her. The mad son loves the maid. Soon after, the son jump to death. Teos wanted to marry them after their death. The same time, Rosa came. She was some sort of victim & subsitute for Esther. While Rosa clinque well with their son without knowing it was his soul. In the end, Esther took her revenge by ending Teos lives. Rosa go back to philippines with Esther's ashes. . .

Go watch it & turn yr stomach upside down! I was amazed by grandma never kena shock in the whole show...whereas look at me??? she just laugh with her fake teeth.....
